Sierra Park Energy Star® Homes are reducing your utility bill
by adding solar panels to the homes we build.

On the December 2, 2009 Sierra Park Homes signed a contract with 5 Starr Energy, our Energy Starr® consultants, to supply and fit solar panels to the remaining homes in Sierra Park in Quincy.  The photovoltaic panels (25 year warranty) will take up an area on the roof of approximately 8’ x 16’; the cables go to an inverter (10 year warranty) in the garage, then finally to your meter box.  Your home is still connected to the grid but you get “free electricity” – it’s that simple.

Sierra Park Homes have incorporated the cost of solar power to their Energy Star® homes because we feel that energy costs are going to increase over the next ten years.  Greater energy efficiency helps us all make the most of our energy resources, lowers our reliance on foreign oil and energy imports, and reduces the emissions of green house gases and air pollutants at the source.  Most important though is that it saves you money and adds value to your home.
